Broken Eggs Media Podcasts
Broken Eggs Media LLC is a multimedia company with over 15 years of experience in the media and tech sector. Established in January 2006, we create online audio and video podcast productions in this exponentially expanding new media industry.
Podcasting is a great new way of distributing audio and video automatically. When a company (like ours) offers a podcast feed, users can subscribe to the feed using podcasting software and any new items will be automatically downloaded to their computer. If the users have a portable audio/video player, the files can also be copied to the player.
However, and this is a common area of confusion, no iPod or other MP3 player is required. Users can listen to or watch the audio/video on their computer, TV, cell phone, or home media center. In fact, our users can watch our shows directly via the player built into every webpage.
If users decide they want to listen to a show every time it comes out, they might consider using a podcasting client. Think of it as Tivo for Internet media. Users subscribe to content by visiting the web site and getting the podcast URL. The podcast software automatically downloads any new shows and copies them to their MP3 player or computer. By far the easiest way to subscribe to podcasts is to install the free iTunes program for Windows or Macintosh.
We specialize in extremely focused audiences, providing them with news, entertainment, and information for the gaming and technology community.
One of our podcast productions called WoW Podcast has taken over the
#1 position on Apple's iTunes.com and continues to smash records of people downloading this show. With this very high profile exposure and name recognition we are continuing to launch new podcasts that are also ranking within the top ten positions on iTunes right along side household names like (NPR) National Public Radio and others.
The Broken Eggs Media model of podcasting allows for models similar to traditional forms of advertising, with many special benefits: an extremely targeted audience, undivided attention of the audience, on-demand model, and many more.
Compared to traditional advertising models where it is difficult to target a particular segment of the audience, our productions provide very specialized and focused audiences that go out of their way to listen and watch to our productions. This provides advertisers with the open ears and eyes of our audience, much more so than traditional methods of advertising delivery.
Our listeners span over 1,500,000 per month across our current productions and we have their undivided attention for an average of 60 minutes per show.
In-show multimedia ads can also be much more seamless as they can be integrated directly into the content of the show, intertwined with the ongoing entertainment, and thus be much more efficient. As such, ads can not only be more target but also much more effective as they play on the audience's emotions and really focus in on the products or services while they are consuming a production that they themselves sought out.
Methods of advertising include the traditional strategies, such as full-motion video and audio ads similar to TV commercials, interspersed throughout the show, but also include in-show reads by the hosts and endorsements that the audience will trust. The traditional website model also applies, such as banner ads on the production websites and forums. These however are secondary to the more effective in-shows ads. Contest and giveaways can also be used to promote a brand and induce audience participation.
ITunes is a huge phenomenon and extremely well known. Steve Jobs last year called podcasting "TiVo for radio," emphasizing its on-demand nature. Our productions are all represented on iTunes and some even reach the top ranks in their categories.
This new medium also reaches a market segment that is part of the online generation, the same consumers that are part of the You-Tube phenomenon.
Recently, Arbitron did a study on the effectiveness of advertising on Internet broadcasts. In Arbitron's own words: "Internet broadcast consumers spend more, are more eager to try new products and services, and are a compelling advertising target…" We offer a wide range of options to our sponsors ranging from simple website advertising to much more effective sponsorship of our actual video podcast shows. It is important to keep in mind that 85% of our overall audience retrieves our show via iTunes and as such may never visit our websites. Using the full spectrum of media available to audio and video podcasts, the actual shows have proven to be much more effective at reaching the consumer, and these options are recommended.
Broken Eggs Media's plans for the future include the addition of further shows, leading to expansion and further penetration of the online and gaming community, as well as other genre's that will cover many other interests that will continue to increase our penetration and traffic flow. Our goal is to provide our audience the best possible multimedia experience focused on topics that they are interested in as well as providing sponsors with the opportunity to access the exceptionally targeted markets.
Through the support of sponsors we will not only be able to launch more shows and gain access to greater audiences but we will also be improving all aspects of our productions. Quality of delivery and content will improve and the user experience will reach spectacular levels of satisfaction.
